Hamm, 29.08.2023 – For more than 30 years, bookhit has been the German and Austrian market leader in the field of merchandise management software for bookshops. Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft advised the shareholders of bookhit GmbH on the sale to GRÜN Software Group.
The GRÜN Software Group is a steadily growing group of companies consisting of software producers from various industries and has made it its goal to digitise the media landscape. With the purchase of bookhit, the value chain for media companies is one software richer.
bookhit itself sees the sale as the gain of a strong partner. The company will be called GRÜN bookhit GmbH in the future, all employees and the location in Hamm will remain.
Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft advised the sellers comprehensively on the transaction in various legal areas.
"The Luther M&A team was recommended to us by a logistics company to accompany the deal, which proved to be the best advice. At every stage of the sales process, the M&A team revealed risks and opportunities to us with pinpoint accuracy, thus setting the course for a perfectly fitting conclusion of the contract," Michael Spartmann of GRÜN bookhit GmbH sums up.
About bookhit:
Today's bookhit GmbH was founded in Drensteinfurt in 1991. At that time, the two managing directors Michael Spartmann and Andreas Kemper began to develop an inventory management system especially for the book trade. Over the years, these beginnings have developed into one of the most widely used systems in the German-speaking book trade.
