Frankfurt am Main, 21.03.2024 – Sunrock, the leading European developer of photovoltaic systems for logistics properties, has secured EUR 100 million in project financing from Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW). Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft advised Sunrock on the overall structuring.
Sunrock can thus continue to expand as a provider of integrated solar power solutions and Europe's leading developer of photovoltaic systems for large-area roofs. With the financing from LBBW, the company will be able to construct a mid double-digit number of rooftop photovoltaic systems. For reasons of efficiency, the large number of planned individual projects has been bundled as part of project financing and summarised in several projects. LBBW is making the expansion possible with this project financing. The alliance with LBBW once again demonstrates the impact that investments in infrastructure projects have on sustainable transformation.
Luther advised Sunrock on the negotiation of the financing documentation under the leadership of financing lawyers Christoph Schauenburg and Volkan Top. The well-known infrastructure team led by Dr Angelo Vallone (infrastructure/energy) and Philipp Dietz (corporate law), which has been advising Sunrock on a wide range of legal issues since its market entry in Germany, was responsible for providing support on complex energy and corporate law issues.
