Vienna, 15.02.2024 – AG Capital, an independent investment company based in Vienna, has entered into a partnership with Layenberger Nutrition Group GmbH, a leading functional nutrition company headquartered in Rodenbach, Germany. AG Capital will hold a minority stake in the newly founded group holding company Smart Food for Future GmbH in Basel, Switzerland. The company was advised by Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft.
As a specialist in functional nutrition, Layenberger supports people in leading a healthy lifestyle, individual well-being and performance regardless of age. To this end, the company has been developing and marketing products for weight loss, weight management and high-protein nutrition for more than thirty years. With the growth financing and the extensive network of AG Capital, Smart Food for Future GmbH is now aiming to become the market leader in functional nutrition.
Luther's private equity team led by Philipp Glock already advised AG Capital on its joint investment with VR Equitypartner in the smart card provider IDENTA.
