Chainmaster electric chain hoists and system solutions are used in stage productions around the globe. Luther advised the shareholders of the family-run company from Eilenburg in Saxony on the sale to Liftket Hoffmann GmbH.
Through the merger with Chainmaster, Liftket Hoffmann, a subsidiary of AFINUM Siebte Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH & Co.KG, is expanding its stage technology division. The event and stage technology specialist Chainmaster develops lifting technology as automated system solutions including control, software and operating devices. In the past, the company's products and competencies were used in the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, Stockholm Opera and at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, among others. In addition to moving loads during a stage show, the chain hoists are also used for positioning displays and video walls. Even after the merger, Chainmaster will remain an independent company with its established brand.
Liftket Hoffmann GmbH is located only a few kilometres from Eilenburg in Wurzen and has been supplying Chainmaster for over 20 years. The company manufactures electric chain hoists with a load capacity of up to 25,000 kg. With around 250 employees, Liftket serves the business fields of industry, special solutions and stage technology. The transaction was completed on August 1, 2018.
