Luther advises IRI Investments on acquisition of a stake in Veja Mate offshore wind farm

Düsseldorf – A team of Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft provided legal support to IRI Investments BV in establishing a consortium with other investors and in the acquisition by this consortium of an almost 80% stake in the Veja Mate offshore wind farm. 

The consortium, consisting of IRI Investments BV, ANET GmbH & Co. Geschlossene Investment KG, KGAL ESPF 4 Holding SARL, ALH European Infra S.C.S. SICAV-RAIF and Green Return Fund 3 S.C.S. SICAV-FIAR, won through in a bidding process. The investment was acquired by way of a share deal from the sellers Siemens Project Venture GmbH, Highland Capital Group and Copenhagen Investment Partners, with Siemens Project Venture GmbH retaining a 20.01% interest in the project company. The consortium was advised in the bidding process by Watson Farley & Williams LLP.

The Luther team led by Counsel Marc Urlichs advised IRI Investments BV both in connection with the formation of the consortium and in connection with the negotiations with the sellers.
