The supplier of instant beverages H. Schoppe & Schultz GmbH & Co. KG acquires a minority interest in the Chinese company Hangzhou Wideworld Import & Export Co., Ltd. based in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Luther acted as the legal advisor to H. Schoppe & Schultz GmbH & Co. KG in the transaction and brought it to a successful conclusion. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary conditions.

KG acquires a minority interest in the Chinese company Hangzhou Wideworld Import & Export Co., Ltd. based in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Luther acted as the legal advisor to H. Schoppe & Schultz GmbH & Co. KG in the transaction and brought it to a successful conclusion. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary conditions.
Schoppe & Schultz, headquartered in Ratzeburg near Lübeck, has been producing instant beverages for decades and is one of the leading suppliers in Europe. Since 2003 Schoppe & Schultz belongs to the Uelzena Group, a cooperative dairy company which generated sales of approx. 703 million Euros in the financial year 2018. Hangzhou Wideworld Import & Export Co., Ltd. is a service provider for beverage dispensers operating in China.
The project was led by the firm's German-Chinese transaction team, which advises on Chinese investments in Germany across all locations. Together with the Luther office in Shanghai, the team has been supporting German and European companies in their business activities in China for more than a decade and has advised on numerous acquisitions and joint ventures between German and Chinese partners.
