Hamburg – The management of the Verwaltungs-Berufsgenossenschaft (VBG) and the Berufsgenossenschaft Holz und Metall (BGHM) signed the agreement on a comprehensive IT cooperation in December 2021. On 1 January 2022, the internal company “NOVA” was founded, through which the IT services for both Berufsgenossenschaften will be provided in the future. The Verwaltungs-Berufsgenossenschaft (VBG) was assisted in the cooperation by Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft.
In NOVA, the employees of both cooperation partners will work together more efficiently under the joint management responsibility of a management team consisting of the previous IT managers of BGHM and VBG. The project will enable the Berufsgenossenschaften to access a modern digital communication infrastructure to a greater extent and reduce administrative costs through synergy effects.
Luther advised the Verwaltungs-Berufsgenossenschaft (VBG) on the planning, design and conclusion of the cooperation agreement in question with the Berufsgenossenschaft Holz und Metall (BGHM).
About the VBG
From A for architect's office to Z for temporary employment agency – almost 1.5 million companies from more than 100 sectors are members of the statutory accident insurance VBG. The VBG takes care that insured persons find their way back into work and their social life in the best possible way. 2,300 employees at eleven locations work on this task.
