Frankfurt a.M. – Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft advised SV Werder Bremen GmbH & Co KG aA on the issue of a corporate bond. The funds from the issued bond strengthen the financial power of the traditional club and will be used for the promotion of young talent, digitalisation and sustainability projects.
The bond of SV Werder Bremen GmbH & Co KG aA (ISIN DE000A3H3KP5) has been traded on the Open Market of Deutsche Börse AG in the Quotation Board segment for bonds since 8 June 2021, following the completion of the public offering. At almost 102%, the current share price reflects investor confidence from a standing start.
Despite the relegation to the second league, the issue has seen demand from institutional and private investors alike. The interest rate was set at the rather lower end of the range at 6.50%. A total of EUR 17.0 million was placed.
Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft prepared the securities prospectus and also accompanied the transaction as transaction lawyer on all legal issues. The securities prospectus, which was prepared in only seven weeks, was approved by the Luxembourg financial supervisory authority, Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), and notified to the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) as part of the European passport.

The issue of the bond was accompanied by Bankhaus Lampe as Sole Lead, Consortiello GmbH acted as issue advisor in the transaction.
