JUVE, the specialist legal publisher, has named Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH "Law Firm of the Year 2019", which is the most prestigious award that can be received, out of a total of 18 awards.
Last night, 24 October 2019, the JUVE Awards 2019 were presented at a festive gala at the Alte Oper in Frankfurt am Main. Luther received the most prestigious of the awards and is the "Law Firm of the Year 2019".
"Luther took her chance. The way the law firm joins Freshfields in defending Volkswagen against the diesel class action lawsuits is impressive. The use of IT has a noticeable modernization effect. In addition, there are many impulses for flexible personnel deployment and recruitment", was the jury's statement. "The firm as a whole has grown to meet the challenge. The ten German offices are now working more closely together. Teams of specialists ensure that Luther is often the first choice in the energy or health sector [...]."
Elisabeth Lepique and Dr Markus Sengpiel, both Managing Partners at Luther, were delighted to receive the award: "We have every reason to be proud! The excellent result shows that the team spirit of our colleagues and our market orientation have met with a deserved positive response. Our sincere thanks go to all our colleagues who ensure that Luther is so successful in its daily work," said Sengpiel.
Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft can look back on an extremely successful financial year in which sales increased by 31%. With its comprehensive range of advisory services, increasing international orientation and its concentration on five core industries, Luther has become firmly established in the market and is perceived as a premium service provider.
The JUVE Awards are bestowed annually upon law firms and legal departments. With the award "Law Firm of the Year", JUVE recognises the development of law firms and, in particular, their management achievements beyond individual areas of law. The decisive factors are dynamic development in the past year, sustainability, continuity and stringent action compared with previous years. The criteria include strategic performance, client orientation, corporate firm culture, junior staff policy, profitability, personnel growth and expansion into new business areas or markets.
