Berlin, 08.03.2023 – Brandenburg Kapital GmbH – a subsidiary of the Investitionsbank des Landes Brandenburg (ILB) – is investing in the tech start-ups CrewLinQ and Green Fusion. In both financing rounds, the venture capital company was assisted by Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft, with whom it has already worked frequently: most recently at the end of 2022 for the investments in the start-ups Crocus Labs and KURABU.
CrewLinQ has raised a seven-figure sum with lead investor Brandenburg Kapital. The software solution of the Brandenburg start-up will significantly simplify personnel management in the health and care industry: In addition to a module for absenteeism management, which automatically requests all available employees in the event of an absenteeism, the software enables duty scheduling in care and takes into account individual factors such as bonus systems, salaries, etc. With the tool, more flexible working time models, higher satisfaction among care workers and cost savings in staff planning are possible.
The Brandenburg start-up Green Fusion, provider of an IT solution for controlling heating and energy systems, successfully closes a seed financing of EUR 2.7 million. Led by lead investor BitStone Capital, the start-up is joined by Brandenburg Kapital GmbH and other investors, primarily from the energy and real estate sectors. Green Fusion intends to invest the capital from the new round in the further development of its energy IoT platform: The focus is on expanding the AI functionality for automated analysis and optimisation of energy efficiency. With lower CO2 emissions and lower costs in energy management, the company, founded in 2021, supports the housing industry in the transformation to climate neutrality.
Luther and Brandenburg Capital's venture capital team as a well-coordinated team
Luther and Brandenburg Kapital have been working together since 2020. For example, Luther 2021 provided legal advice to Brandenburg Kapital on its entry into Veganz Group AG and in the context of its subsequent IPO. The Berlin Luther team advised Brandenburg Kapital on eight investment rounds in 2022 alone. In each of the current investments in CrewLinQ and Green Fusion, the firm carried out the due diligence and advised on the investment documentation.
