The German Youth Association "Entschieden für Christus" (EC) e.V., sponsor of the Protestant hospital "Gottesfriede" in Woltersdorf near Berlin, which specializes in internal medicine and geriatrics, and the private hospital group Sana Kliniken AG (Sana) have entered into a strategic partnership: Sana takes a 74.9 percent majority stake in the hospital, the EC retains 25.1 percent of the shares and remains a co-shareholder. Luther provided the EC with comprehensive legal advice on the transaction.
The German Youth Association " Entschieden für Christus", based in Kassel, is the umbrella organisation of a Christian youth movement of Evangelical character. With the majority sale to Sana Kliniken AG, the EC secures the future of the hospital and gains a strong strategic partner with the clinic operator active throughout Germany. The transaction was completed at the end of November.
