Hamburg, 02.08.2024 - The international consulting firm Projective Group, which specializes in the financial services sector, has acquired the Hamburg-based consulting firm Thede Consulting, a well-known management consulting firm with a focus on payment and digitization strategy. Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft comprehensively advised the PE-backed Projective Group on the transaction.
The acquisition supports Projective Group's growth strategy and strengthens its position in the financial services sector and related areas as well as its presence in the DACH region. The acquisition of Thede Consulting will significantly strengthen Projective Group's competencies and capabilities: close to 100 qualified consultants will be based in key locations such as Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg and Switzerland. The Projective Group will then have over 1,200 employees worldwide.
Luther partner Dr. Joachim Heinemann, who specializes in M&A, and his team have been supporting the Projective Group for a long time in building up and shaping the portfolio as part of its buy & build strategy. The integration of Thede Consulting promises synergistic effects and makes it possible to offer customized solutions in the payment sector - for example for digital and real-time payment solutions against the backdrop of increasing regulatory requirements. The acquisition also expands Projective Group's capacity to handle large and complex projects.
Stefan Dierckx, CEO of Projective Group: “Thede Consulting's experience in the field of payment strategy will be crucial for our collaboration to deliver customized payment solutions. We are in a rapidly changing payments landscape and are increasingly confronted with regulatory requirements, as well as an increase in demand for digital and real-time payments solutions. The addition of Thede Consulting to Projective Group could not have come at a better time."
