Leipzig, 05.06.2024 – The European Energy Exchange (EEX) and European Commodity Clearing (ECC) are relocating their headquarters to the ‘N30 I NEO’ in the centre of Leipzig, which has been converted into a work-life quarter. Luther advised the companies on the legal and tax aspects of renting the office space.
The N30 I NEO quarter in a ‘high-street location’ in the heart of the city of Leipzig will include office space with modern working environments as well as retail and catering uses. With the takeover of the office space by EEX and ECC, more than half of the property has already been let.
The rented office space will be developed individually for EEX and ECC and is scheduled to be occupied in the second half of 2026. The two companies will occupy the third floor of the main NEO Leipzig building as well as the second and third floors of the immediately neighbouring Bürgerhaus. The headquarters of EEX and its clearing house ECC are currently still located in the Panorama Tower Leipzig.
EEX and ECC are part of the EEX Group, which employs more than 1,100 people worldwide.
Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft provided comprehensive legal and tax advice to EEX and ECC throughout the entire rental process.
